Coronation Street stars Stephanie Beacham and Roberta Kerr have hinted at the outcome of their Ken Barlow love triangle.
Earlier this year, Wendy (played by Kerr) played back to the cobblestones resume her romantic connection with Ken, but things are about to change.
Upcoming scenes will see Ken bump into his former flame Martha (played by Beacham) who turns her head and leaves Ken in the middle of a love triangle with the two women.
Talking to TV timesBeacham and Kerr opened up about what the two women can offer Ken and their different romantic styles.

“Someone told me that when you bond with Martha, you’re in for a whirlwind ride,” Beacham said. “Now you can enjoy it or it can be too much for you. Martha has had adventures and Ken really hasn’t.”
While Martha gives Ken excitement, Kerr said that Wendy seems like “small fry compared to Martha,” adding that “it only takes a blast from the past to shake things up”.
According to Kerr, Martha’s ability to turn Ken’s head may not last long, and the soap star hinted that Wendy is more likely to stick with Ken.

“I think Martha is probably more of a flash in the pan, while Wendy would be there for a long time. But that can’t happen… who knows?”
Discussing CorrieBeacham’s decision to showcase a love triangle between older characters said, “I think the story is absolutely delightful.”
Kerr agreed with Beacham, saying, “I love this story. To me, age is absolutely meaningless.”
Recently Ken Barlow actor Bill Roache opened up about Martha’s return said: “When I found out Martha was coming back too, I was thrilled, but I fear heartbreak may be around the corner again for Ken, now he’s found himself in another love triangle.”
