Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa has shared several behind-the-scenes photos from the show, including a sneak peek at the TARDIS.
The actor, who will take on the role of the Fifteenth Doctor next year, shared a post on his Instagram with a series of photos, some of which were shared by the show’s official social media accounts yesterday.
However, one snap (the fifth on the photo carousel) showed a glimpse of the Time Lord’s iconic vehicle, captioning the post: “Yesterday. Our. EXCITING!

“I really feel like I have an adrenaline hangover. But boy oh BOYY what we have in store for you. Ps that video is just an excuse to show off the fit of my pants, tell me you wouldn’t do the same, ” he concluded.
Gatwa will debut as the Doctor next year, with Russell T Davies returning as showrunner after 12 years away.
The first story will follow on from ‘The Power of the Doctor’, which saw David Tennant return to the show to take over from Jodie Whittaker.

The actor, who previously played the Tenth Doctor between 2005 and 2010, recently discussed the development of the shock plot, and explained the process behind his return.
“It was like getting a very nice present! It was joyful and a lot of fun, he remembers. “It was a happy and joyous time fifteen years ago – and it could be hard or difficult to get back to that.
“Maybe I couldn’t run as fast, but we had a good time. Russell T Davies was back with the show and it felt like I’d never been away. I don’t know if we gave him the idea to take Doctor Who back, but we thought if he does, we can’t let these youngsters have all the fun, he said.
Doctor Who will return in 2023 on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Meanwhile, in the US, the show airs on BBC America, with series 1-12 available on HBO Max. Classical Doctor Who flows on BritBox in Great Britain.
