Dune spinoff show gets huge update

Dune: The Sisterhood filming is finally underway.

A prequel series to the epic Dune saga, which returned to the big screen last year with the Oscar-nominated director Denis Villeneuve and an all-star cast, this HBO Max TV show rewinds the clock to when the fabled Bene Gesserit were just the seed of an idea.

Director Johan Renck (Chernobyl) announced that production was underway on Instagram yesterday (November 22).

This particular quote will be familiar to those who have read Herbert’s seminal story or seen Villeneuve’s first installment of the split-in-two adaptation, with Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides uttering it alongside Rebecca Ferguson’s Jessica at a pivotal point in the film.
