If you’re looking to collect all the shields in the Elden Ring, you’ll likely come across a large majority of them just by playing through the game normally. However, a handful of shields can be easily missed without a good eye. Such is the case with the Great Turtle Shell Shield, which you can overlook if you’re not paying close attention. In this guide, we will tell you how to get it.
The Great Turtle Shell Shield explained
The Great Turtle Shell Shield is a medium shield that requires 14 strength to use. While it’s not the best defensive option you can find, it’s still a decent choice for many builds, simply due to its solid weight-to-protection ratio and the fact that it increases your stamina rating by 8%.
The Great Turtle Shell Shield’s product description reads:
Shield made from a beautiful tortoise shell. The natural curve helps it cope with enemy attacks. The turtle is a symbol of tirelessness, and this shield increases stamina speed.
Where to find the Great Turtle Shell Shield
The Great Turtle Shell Shield can be found in the Weeping Pennisula near the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace. Walk or warp there, then look around near you for a spirit feather, which you can use with Torrent to send you high into the sky.
When you go straight up into the spirit well, you’ll be able to go in any direction, but your goal is to land directly on top of the nearby rampart tower. When you land there, one of the two items found in the small area will be the Great Turtle Shell Shield.
