We have the latest data from the Japanese charts, and as expected, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have completely destroyed the competition, selling an astounding 2,537,292 units in the duo’s first week of sales. That milestone was more than enough to knock Splatoon 3 off the top spot, but Nintendo’s shooter still managed some respectable numbers, selling a total of 36,958 units to bring its total up to 3,368,155.

Elsewhere, Sonic Frontiers has dropped to number 10 with a total of 5,837 units sold. That said, the Switch version still proves to be the most popular among consumers, with the PS5 and PS4 versions falling out of the top ten.

Otherwise, we’ve got some other newcomers to the lists, including SympathyKiss, Card match!! Vanguard Dear Days (for a name), and Monochrome Mobius: Rights and wrongs forgotten (for one Name!) for PS4.

Needless to say, it looks like Scarlet and Violet’s technical drawbacks couldn’t hamper their first week sales, although it will be interesting to see if the games can keep up the momentum now that players are more familiar with the many, many problems.
