Could Olivia Benson be about to share feelings with Elliot Stabler further Law and order: SVU? Well, a show producer has hinted that something could be on the cards.

Fans have been clamoring for years for the pair to get together after debuting on the franchise in 1999, though it looks like the next episode of SVU will go deeper.

Following a fan tweet asking if Benson will mention “she’s in love with Stabler,” possibly to Amanda Rollins ahead of her upcoming exit, executive producer Julie Martin dropped a big tease.

“She will talk to Rollins about her feelings for Stabler on episode 9, Dec. 8. #ATraumaInAPearTree,” she replied. Interesting!

However, the particular feelings may be platonic – we’ll have to wait until next month to find out anyway.

In others SVU news, star Ice-T recently earned the record for longest-running male actor in a TV series for his role as Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola, a role he’s played in over 400 episodes since 2000, a tally just behind Benson star Mariska Hargitay .

After reflecting on the record, the star noted to Entertainment tonight: “You must be in the program that lasts the longest – [Law and Order] is the longest running show, so to get that title you have to be in – everything is in a row.

“There are people who have been performing a lot longer than me, but to be on one show continuously for that long – it’s never been done,” he added.
