LEGO Announces Lunar New Year Sets

LEGO has announced a luxurious Lunar New Year set filled with seasonal decorations.

Apart from the fun game on the scale of franchises like Marvel, Batman and Star WarsLEGO has also put out brilliant flower sets and holiday displays.

The last holiday to be celebrated with its own LEGO display is the Lunar New Year, which will take place this coming year on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

The holiday marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle and is celebrated in countries across Asia, as well as being widely observed across the UK, Europe and North America.

LEGO’s Lunar New Year Display, which will soon be available for pre-order for $89.99 ahead of a January 10, 2023 release, features miniature versions of many of the decorations and symbols associated with the holiday.

Each set is packed with two display models, which builders can decorate with unique festive elements or match with the same red lucky pockets, moutan peonies and traditional golden bars in the traditional Yuan Bao design.

You can include attached holiday greetings – such as “Zhao Cai Jin Bao” for happiness or “Hua Kai Fu Gu” for happiness and prosperity.

Each individual model stands at over 21cm in height when fully built, as well as measuring in at 21cm in width and 8cm in depth.

LEGO has included a step-by-step instruction booklet to help builders aged 8 and up construct this fun and festive Lunar New Year display set.
