Prince Harry has claimed that Prince William “screamed and shouted at me” and King Charles “said things that were simply not true” in a meeting discussing his retirement from the royal family – which was “specifically designed to exclude “Meghan Markle.
In explosive new episodes of the couple’s Netflix documentary, Harry claims the Queen “sat there quietly and took it all in” as the chaos unfolded around her
The Duke of Sussex also claims the palace issued a statement denying William had “bullied him and Meghan out of the family” without his permission.
Commenting on the alleged incident, the father-of-two said: ‘They were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.’
Harry claims private royal secretaries initially rejected the couple’s request to hold a meeting to discuss “a plan for the way forward”, as well as “crazy” media coverage.
After Meghan flew to Canada, a meeting was arranged at Sandringham, he says.
“Imagine a conversation, a roundtable discussion about the future of your life when the stakes are so high, and you as a mom and a wife, and the target in many ways, are not invited to sit at the table,” says Meghan.
Harry said he was given “five options” at the meeting – “one is all-in and no change, five is all-out”.

He chose option three – “half in, half out” – describing it as “having our own jobs but also working in support of the Queen”.
“But it became clear very quickly that the goal was not up for debate,” he says. “It was terrifying to have my brother screaming and yelling at me, and my father saying things that were simply not true, and my grandmother just sitting there and kind of taking it all in.
“But you have to understand, from the perspective of the family, especially from hers, there are ways of doing things, and her ultimate goal, to cut the responsibility, is the institution.
“People around her telling her that ‘that proposal, or these two doing XYZ, will be seen as an attack on the institution’, then she will follow the advice she’s given.’
The meeting ended without a solid plan of action, and Harry commented on it, saying: “I think, from their perspective, they had to think it was more about us and the problems that were having, as opposed to their partner, the media and themselves and themselves. that relationship which caused us so much pain. They saw what they wanted to see.’
Harry kept recalling a story in the media that claimed William “bullied us out of the family.”
He claims he was “told” of a joint statement put out from him and William, which “shattered” the story, calling it “false, offensive and potentially damaging”.
It was branded ‘a sign of public unity’ between the brothers in news reports.
“I couldn’t believe it,” said Harry. “No one had asked me, no one asked me for permission to put my name to such a statement.
‘I called M and told her and she burst into tears because within four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.’
Meghan adds: “All of a sudden it clicked in my head, ‘it’s never going to stop.’ Every rumor, every negative thing, every lie, everything I knew wasn’t true and the palace knew wasn’t true, and internally they knew it wasn’t true, it was just being allowed to stick.
