Strictly star Dianne Buswell unveils change to trademark red hair

Strictly Come Dancing Star Dianne Buswell has unveiled a change to her red hair.

The professional dancer, who was partnered with Tyler West on this year’s series, showed off her new ‘candy’ look with a video on TikTok and Instagram, which saw her add a streak of white to her hair.

“Thank god my hairdresser @vickydemetriouhair has done such an amazing job on my hair it takes the attention off the hand which clearly hasn’t been washed after a fake tan, another amazing set with @greatlengthsuk this time we got some blonde/pale pink bites around the face line,” she wrote.

Dianne and Tyler were eliminated from strictly speaking on the Blackpool stage in week nine, with professionals then paying tribute to the radio presenter in a heartfelt post.

“Between your smile, presence and torch gathering, oh my god you lit up the room and the dance floor,” she wrote. “I am eternally grateful to be the lucky girl chosen to dance with you.

“Your energy, your smile, your zest for life was with us from day 1 of the rehearsals until the EPIC SALSA. I am a proud teacher who has trained a size 12 handball champion to dance and whom I now classify a DANCER. Thank you very much for being the best xx team TYDI will live on.”

This weekend saw the semi-finals take place, with Will Mellor, Hamza Yassin, Molly Rainford, Helen Skelton and Fleur East battling it out for a place in next weekend’s final.

The latter revealed that the remaining contestants and professionals were locked in the studio after the semi-finals due to the adverse weather conditions, saying: “When I left, everyone was queuing up waiting to get into a taxi, but no one could get out – even Shirley Ballas was stranded and sitting on the couch waiting for a cab,” she added.

Strictly Come Dancingits last is broadcast on Saturday (December 17) at 19.05 on BBC One, while the spin-off show Strictly: It takes two broadcast weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are also streaming on BBC iPlayer.
